According to the latest reports, on Tuesday, April 26, the Kalwa Padgha 400 KV transmission line tripped at nearly 10.15 am. Owing to this, power cuts were reportedly seen in parts of Mumbai. These, accounts claim, include the likes of DadarMahim, BandraSantacruz and Mahalaxmi amongst other areas.

Amid the scorching summer heat, this has proved to be a major inconvenience to citizens. On the other hand, residents of certain areas of Thane and Dombivali also reportedly complained of power outages in their vicinity. 

Based on narratives, due to the tripping of the transmission line, there has been a load relief of 210 MW from Thane and 45 MW at Mulund.

It has been reported that the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (MSEDCL) remarked that supply failed from Kolshet EHV. Similarly, the Colourchem and Patalipada EHVs were both in dark. The corporation remarked that there has been a bus Fault at Padghe EHV.

Similarly, accounts allege that the MSEDCL is presently investigating the occurrence. Following these occurrences, reports claim that on Tuesday by 11 am, the power supply at Dombivali was restored.
