More than 4000 resident doctors across the state have called off their strike which lasted for four days on Monday post their meeting with the state Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, claimed accounts.

The Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD) mentioned that the state government has ensured them that their primary demand of a fee waiver for the academic duration lost to the COVID-19 care will be examined since there persists technical issues in offering it.

The medical practitioners, based on reports elucidated that they have been guaranteed an Academic Allowance for the complete duration of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to accounts, President, MARD, Dr Dnyaneshwar Patil, elaborated that renovation and building of hostel facilities will be seen promptly in this month. The medical practitioners had halted attending their regular work along with outpatient assistance for the last four days. In addition to this, they were also threatening that they would strengthen their agitation by not doing emergency activities.

On Monday, a meeting was conducted which was attended by Aaditya Thackeray along with medical education departments, secretaries of finance and director of medical education and research, Dr Dilip Mhaisekar, mentioned narratives.
