Citizens’ View On Waste Management Sought By The BMC

The city’s civic authority, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has begun a survey in order to get the locals feedback, to curate a vision document on waste management of the city for 2030, stated reports. This online survey includes questions on how the city can make its way to becoming the cleanest global city by 2030.

Over the weekend, the civic authority launched this initiative. People can visit https://mcgm-citizen-survey.cloudstrats.com/ to share their feedback on a range of issues that include waste condition, waste segregation and waste management.

According to the feedback the authority attains from this survey, a Vision 2030 for solid waste management action plan will be made. BMC officials, based on the report by Hindustan Times, stated that the said plan can be expected to be finished by the end of the current financial year.

Officials from the BMC have further elucidated that this online survey allows people to evaluate the authority’s operation on cleanliness in a range of facets that includes emptying and upkeep of public litter bins, maintenance of public toilets, street sweeping and waste collection.

Available in three languages, citizens need to anonymously fill the survey, where they can share their thoughts on how clean they believe the city is, what they think the city needs to do to become the cleanliest global city by 2030, apart from elaborating on amenities they seek for a cleaner city, among other questions.
