Across the globe, all the countries have been looking for a vaccine to treat the coronavirus. Patanjali, however, claims to have discovered Ayurvedic medicine to treat COVID-19. Baba Ramdev has recently made this announcement at a press conference.
Patanjali has further claimed that the report of patients suffering from the coronavirus will be negative in just seven days. The drug has been named as Coronil. Here are thirteen things about the much talked about the drug.
1) The medicine has been named as Coronil. Patanjali has claimed it to be effective on the coronavirus, however, the AYUSH ministry has said it has no information about the drug.
2) This medicine is said to come in kit form. There are three types of medicines in one kit. It contains Coronil tablet, Swasari Vati and oil called Anu Ile.
3) In the tweet shared by Patanjali, it is said that the drug contains a mixture of gilloy, ashwagandha, tulsi, shavsari juice and atomic oil.
4) Ramdev has stated that more than 100 medicinal ingredients have been used in Coronil. The whole kit will help strengthen the immune system.
5) Ashwagandha in medicine prevents the receptor-binding domain of the virus from entering the body by the angiotensin-converting enzyme in the body, according to Ramdev.
6) The drug should be allegedly taken once in the morning and evening. This amount of medicine is suitable for people in the age group of 15 to 80 years. However, for people between the ages of 6 and 14, it should be half the dose given to adults.
7) Coronil was treated in two ways. Ramdev said that the Clinical Control Study and Clinical Control Troy have been used.
8) For the purpose of clinical control study, there have been experiments conducted on many patients in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Meerut and other parts of the country. No single patient died in it.
9) CTR was sought for clinical control trial. In this, 100 people were treated jointly by Pantajali Research Center and National Medical Institute of Science Nimes.
10) Research done both ways allegedly showcase that 100 per cent of the patients suffering from COVID-19 are recovering. Some patients are recovering in 3 days and some in 7 days. No one died during the study, Ramdev Baba claimed.
11) It has been clarified by Patanjali that extensive research done for the drug will be announced in a few days.
12) The effectiveness of the medicine on the treatment of COVID 19 has not been tested by any independent medical board yet.
13) The World Health Organization (WHO) recently stated that, while many drug trials are underway, there is still no evidence that any drug can cure or prevent COVID 19.
