Mumbai: Day Temperature Expected To Stay Under 30 Degrees Celsius Till Weekend

Temperature levels in Mumbai have been dropping over the past few days. On Tuesday, January 25, according to reports, the city witnessed its second coldest morning of the season. The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Santacruz observatory registered a minimum temperature of 13.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

On the other hand, the Colaba observatory registered a minimum temperature of 15.2 degrees Celsius. It was back on January 10 when Mumbai saw its coldest morning this season when it registered a minimum temperature of 13.2 degrees Celsius.

There has been a forecast of a rise in minimum temperatures from Wednesday, January 26. According to the 24-hour forecast, the minimum and maximum temperatures are anticipated to be near 14 degrees and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

Day temperatures are anticipated to remain below 30 degrees Celsius till the weekend, remarked the IMD officials, reports stated.

Apart from this, many places in Maharashtra witnessed severe cold conditions. Nashik was the coldest in the state during the day since its temperature fell to 6.3 degrees for the second consecutive day.

According to the latest reports, the cold wave conditions in Mumbai are anticipated to last till Thursday, January 27. The IMD on Tuesday cautioned towards cold to severe cold wave conditions over Marathwada as well as northern Madhya Maharashtra districts till Thursday.

The IMD has reportedly attributed the cool weather conditions to the northerly to northerly easterly winds in the region.
