Maharashtra Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, in a recently held event, presented the Maharashtra Jan Gaurav Puraskars to people’s representatives, doctors, journalists, musicians and social workers in the state. The event was organised at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai and was attended by several personalities.
As per reports, these awards were presented on behalf of the Sapna Subodh Saoji Charitable Trust. Present at the event were Former Minister of State Subodh Saoji and Chairman of the Sapna Subodh Saoji Charitable Trust Dr Rahul Saoji were present on the dais.
Actor and anchor Anup Soni, actor Archana Sharma, Plastic Surgeon Dr. Ashok Gupta, Pulmonologist Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, Radiologist Dr. Deepak Patkar, former MLA Gajanan Dalu, Cardiologist Dr. G. P. Ratnaparkhi, MLA Govardhan Sharma, MLC Gopikishan Bajoriya, MLA Rajesh Ekade, playback singer Hariharan, Sudesh Bhosle, CEO of Wockhardt Hospital Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, social worker Manju Lodha, CEO of Wadia Hospital Dr. Minnie Bodhanwala, former Indian Hockey player Mervyn Fernandis, former MLA Pradip Wadnere, Dr. Rahul Pandit, Dr. Sameer Sadawarte, former MLA Suhas Tidke, Dr. Swapnil Mane, Lokmat Group Editor Vijay Baviskar, Dr. Amjadkhan Pathan, and others were felicitated on the occasion.

Besides this, the governor, in another event, also felicitated 51 entrepreneurs and business leaders from different parts of Maharashtra for boosting state's economy during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. He complimented the entrepreneurs and business houses for not laying off the workers and also not reducing their wages.
A volume ‘Covid Yoddha Udyojak 51’ that highlights the good work done by the entrepreneurs was also released at the occasion. The list of the awardees included Mahesh Khedkar, Prabodh Thakkar, Jayashree Mangesh Katkar, Dinesh Pratap Singh, Dr Dhananjay Rane, Suresh Kute, Archana Suresh Kute, Vinod Agrawal, Bipin Shah, and Ankaji Patil
