On Monday, November 8, a fire broke out in Thane's NKT College, stated the Thane Municipal Corporation, reported ANI. Based on the account, there haven't been any injuries or fatalities have been logged yet.

The Thane Fire Brigade, as well as, the RDMC arrived at the location with one fire engine and water tanker. Presently, the procedure of putting the fire is underway.

It is believed that the fire broke out on the first floor of the college in the staff room. Since the educational establishment is on a Diwali break, injuries or casualties were not reported. However, narratives state that major damage was sustained on the furniture and paperwork on the premises. 

According to accounts, officials are of the opinion that the real extent of the damage can be understood post a complete assessment. Civic rescue officials stated that the call was attained at nearly 10.30 am post which a team from the Jawahar Bagh fire brigade got to the spots in minutes and they brought the situation under control. 

The prior investigation brought to light that the blaze could have occurred due to a short circuit in the premises, thus, a comprehensive investigation is likely to be undertaken.
