The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has decided to continue the "Special Vaccination Session" on June 3, 2021, at Mansaheb Minatai Thackeray Hospital at Sector 15 in Nerul from 9 am to 5 am.

This special vaccination drive is for students who have got admission in foreign universities for higher education. This move will ensure that they do not lose their educational opportunities due to lack of immunization.

On Tuesday, June 2, it was observed that students had shown up in large numbers at the vaccination centre to benefit from this special drive. During the day, 252 students including 143 young men and 109 young women were inoculated.

However, the civic body decided to extend it for another day as it came to light that many students could not take the vaccination due to unawareness or other various reasons.

Moreover, an official also stated that the students expressed satisfaction that NMMC has taken the initiative to organize a special vaccination session considering students’ problem.
