Earlier this month, Indian actor and singer SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) was admitted to Chennai's MGM Healthcare, after he tested positive for coronavirus. However, as per reports, his health and the doctors have put him on ‘maximal life support.’ 

The hospital released a statement on Thursday, September 24, 2020, which stating that SPB’s condition was ‘extremely critical.’ The statement said that SPB was admitted on August 5 and remains on ECMO and other life support measures. Over the last 24 hours, his condition has deteriorated further, warranting maximal life support. A team of experts are closely monitoring his health as he extremely critical


A few days back, his son SP Charan shared reports about SPB's health stating that he was making ‘steady progress towards getting better.’

SPB tested positive for coronavirus after developing symptoms in the first week of August. Several fans and industry members took to Twitter to share their wishes asking him to get well soon.
