On Friday, weekend travellers who booked flights for morning travel from the Mumbai airport were met with an abdominal scene at Terminal 2 where disorder transpired with exceedingly lengthy queues at the security and check-in counters, stated reports.

Many travellers are claimed to have missed their flights since the crowd at the security counters hindered them from getting to their boarding gates in time. According to accounts, passengers elaborated that with the festivities, the travel season will commence and they were of the opinion that the city airport isn’t prepared to manage the crowd, especially on weekends.

Based on narratives, a spokesperson from MIAL had earlier made a statement that that whilst IndiGo’s select flights will commence from October 31, the majority of its flight functioning from T2, its base flight will function from Terminal 1. Reports claim that whilst T2 will manage nearly 396 flights, TI will manage nearly 156 flights every day.
